A More Deserving Person

You know when something good happens to someone who is really nice, gracious, and deserving and you think, "Wow, that’s great. That could not have happened to a nicer or more deserving person". Or when misfortune befalls someone who is not so nice, someone possibly smug and judgmental or just plain mean and you think, "Wow, that could not have happened to a more deserving person." Same sentiment but under totally different circumstances.

I was just talking about this with my sister. A "friend" recently had a string of bad luck. We thought she deserved all the bad luck. It's karma. What goes around comes around.

Some people are just plain wicked. They love to stir the pot with people's feelings. Bad karma will be there to grin down upon them eventually.

Karma seems to be a common thread. I'm a believer in that the way you treat people will later determine how you are then treated. It may not happen immediately, but eventually everyone's actions have consequences, both positve and negative.
Thanks for commenting ladies!

I believe in Karma. But then I wonder what WE did wrong when a job goes bad, or we don't get one we really worked hard for.
Then there's Shadenfreude - the enjoyment taken from the misfortune of someone else. I always wonder if I'm smug at someone else's bad karma, will that bad karma visit me next??

I totally agree. When things don't work out for me I totally think of all the things I did that my misfortune can be payback from.
I also think that if I take pleasure in another's misfortune that something bad will soon befall me.

Good observation. Part of being human is you can't help but take a little pleasure in someone's else's misfortune who you feel may deserve it. We all do it.
