He Never Sleeps...He Might See Dead People, Too

I am not sure what is wrong with our son, but he has decided to basically give up sleeping in its entirety. I kid you not. He hasn't napped in a week even though at only 15 months he desperately needs one or two or three naps still. Then despite not sleeping all day he will not go to bed at night.

He stands in his crib and screams for HOURS. He's not sick, he's not teething, he's not in pain. I really don't know what the heck is the matter with him other than he is stubborn and apparently an insomniac. Seriously, how can a baby not sleep? And how can he just cry for hours without wearing himself out?

Ideas? Anyone? Bueller?

I can empathize. Sadly, I don't have an answer for you, though. He's probably overtired and can't just relax enough to sleep.

You could be right. Again, today only a 30 minute nap. His saving grace is that he is so dang cute.

I can't help at all - just sympathize. My son was a champion sleeper after 6 months old. Slept from 7pm to 7am. The naps at home around a year and a half were pretty much over but I know at daycare he napped daily.
Hmmmm, I have no clue!

I am so envious of you Nancy. Green actually. :)

Hopefully it is just a phase. He will at some point get so exhausted he'll crash and sleep for hours. I'll pray that that comes soon for you.

He did eventually sleep yesterday for almost 2 hours in the late afternoon. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
