Assholes Among Us

How can some people be so petty and self-absorbed? How can they fail to see the affect their actions have on others? How can they trod on in self-righteous indignation while stomping all over other's feelings, yet act beyond offended if a similar "offense" were to occur to them. I just don't get it. It's almost just too much sometimes. I get the incredible urge at times to just call them out. To scream and yell at them. To try to point out why they are such assholes. The problem is that no amount of reason or proof would make a dent in their hardened heads and hearts. It's a losing battle, but it sure would make me feel better.
